Vice President of Global Foundation Services for eBay to Speak
at Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance Board of Trustees’ Meeting

(Las Vegas) – The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance announced today that Dean Nelson, Vice President of Global Foundation Services for eBay Inc., will be the keynote speaker at the June Board of Trustees’ breakfast and networking business meeting.

A world renowned speaker on data and sustainability issues, Nelson will talk about how eBay is using its infrastructure in Las Vegas and all around the world to make e-commerce greener and more efficient.  Nelson joined eBay after a long and illustrious tenure with Sun Microsystems, where he was a key player in the development of the data-center industry. Nelson and his company are now using the Switch facilities to store and manage their data.

Nelson’s lecture is scheduled for June 19 in the Acacia Ballroom at the Four Seasons Hotel, 3960 Las Vegas Boulevard South. A buffet breakfast and networking will begin at 7 a.m., with the business meeting to follow at 7:30 a.m.
