LVGEA Welcomes Businessman Frank Martin to Board of Directors

LAS VEGAS — The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance welcomes businessman Frank Martin, co-founder of Martin-Harris Construction, to its board of directors.

A native Nevadan, Martin moved to Las Vegas in 1961. Since then, he has played an active role in the community in order to help make Las Vegas a better place to live, work, and raise a family.

“We are honored to accept Frank Martin to our board of Directors,” said Ray Specht, Chairman of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA) and Vice Chairman of Toyota Financial Savings Bank. “Frank is a man with a vision and a love for Las Vegas. His entrepreneurial spirit will be valuable for this organization.”

The LVGEA board of directors consists of 42 members of the Southern Nevada community, all of whom are dedicated to economic and community development. The board includes a mix of elected officials and business executives whose acumen and expertise in different business sectors aid efforts to improve the economy and community.

“Frank brings an additional perspective to our growing board of directors as we drive to reach 50 members,” said Jonas Peterson, president & CEO of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance. “We have a shared vision for improving our community and his experience in development over the past three decades will be invaluable to the LVGEA.”

“I have watched LVGEA closely over the years and find their approach both methodical and responsive to the needs of the community,” said Frank Martin, co-founder of Martin-Harris Construction. “Since Rob Roy first contacted me about the organization, I have watched it grow under the leadership of Missy Young, and now, under the guidance of Chairman Ray Specht. The same can be said for Jonas Peterson, who has continued to build on the work of the former CEO, Tom Skancke, positioning the LVGEA as a national leader in attracting new business to relocate to Nevada.”
