Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR)

DETR has compiled multiple resources for those seeking to file unemployment and those seeking jobs at this time. Please reference the links below for more information.

U.S. Department of Labor

National Dislocated Worker Grants (DWGs) are discretionary grants awarded by the Secretary of Labor, under Section 170 of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). DWGs provide resources to states and other eligible applicants to respond to large, unexpected layoff events causing significant job losses. See below for more information.

U.S. Small Business Administration Disaster Assistance Loan

SBA announced it is offering low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to small businesses in the state who are affected by COVID-19. Businesses can apply at sba.gov/disaster. Additionally, see below for the statements they have shared.

Nevada Health Response 

Created by Governor Sisolak, the Nevada Health Response shares information pertinent to COVID-19, including resources for families, FAQs and preventative measures. The below COVID-19 Risk Mitigation Initiative includes critical information regarding COVID-19 prevention strategies, social distancing guidelines, postponement/cancellation of gatherings, essential and non-essential services and sectors, and guidelines for food establishments.
