LAS VEGAS — On December 1, 2016, the board of directors of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA) unanimously elected John Delikanakis as chairman of the economic development organization’s 46-member board, consisting of southern Nevada’s top public, private, business and community leaders charged with expanding and diversifying the regional economy.
“It is an honor and a privilege to be nominated by my colleagues to serve as chairman and work alongside the many members of the board helping to foster a southern Nevada economy prepared to compete in today’s connected world,” said Delikanakis. “It is critical that we continue to move our region forward together in order to build on existing industry, attract new investment and create new opportunities for business.”
Delikanakis served on the LVGEA’s board of directors for the last four years, including a stint as the organization’s vice chairman for 2016. In addition, he has served on several boards in the area, including: Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce, Board of Trustees; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada, Board of Directors and The Salvation Army Advisory Board.

Delikanakis is a partner with Snell & Wilmer’s commercial litigation group in Las Vegas. A former associate general counsel for a Fortune 500 company, his experience ranges from counseling senior management on day-to-day operational issues to litigating both simple and complex cases at the district court and appellate levels.
