Food manufacturer expands in Southern Nevada

A producer of dressings and sauces is adding a new production line at its 86,000 square-foot built-to-suit facility.

Originally built in 2012 as a West Coast manufacturing and distribution center for the Bridgeport, New Jersey-based Chelten House Products, Inc., the expansion brings $11.4 million in new capital investment as well as an initial, additional 12 jobs to the site.

In addition to a lower estimated operating cost relative to New Jersey, the company cites the availability of state and local economic incentives to be a significant factor in its decision to expand in North Las Vegas.

The expansion comes after several successful years of doing business in North Las Vegas, where the company worked with both the City of North Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance to help facilitate the expansion. “Our growth has been just explosive since we opened up on the West Coast,” said Robert Paradise, Chief Financial Officer, of Chelten House Products, Inc., in remarks made to the Board of Directors of the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development.

The company qualified for an incentive package at the January board meeting of the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
