On Wednesday, Dec. 6, the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA) and the UNLV Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) teamed up for Outlook ’18, where more than 400 community and business leaders gained an in-depth analysis of what to expect heading into 2018 on the local, national and global levels.

CBER has had a long tradition of hosting its end-of-the-year Economic Outlook for the past 25 years. In 2018, it partnered with the LVGEA to revamp the event, to make this economic forecast even bigger and better. Outlook ’18 sold out three weeks in advance and brought together sought-after keynote speakers:

  • Beacon Economics Founding Partner Dr. Christopher Thornberg
  • UNLV Professor and CBER Director Dr. Stephen M. Miller
  • Applied Analysis Principal Analyst Jeremy Aguero

Guests in attendance received two reports as part of Outlook ’18. The first was LVGEA’s Manufacturing & Logistics outlook report, filled with insight on the implications that these growing industries are having on the regional economy. You can view the full report here.

Additionally, CBER released its Economic Outlook 2018 report, which is now on sale and available for $45 by contacting Peggy Jackman at (702) 895-3191.
