Vice President of Investor Services and Development
Terrence Thornton has served in the economic development industry for several years, developing a strong sense of knowledge and understanding of the important aspects of economic diversification and business relationships.Terrence, who worked with the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance’s predecessor – since 2006, initially served as an administrative assistant and eventually held two key administrative roles within the organization. The positions allowed him the opportunity to assist the organization’s executive committee in investor retention efforts as well as coordinate non-governing committees tasked with investor recruitment and recognition. Terrence’s role as Director of Investor Services and Development is a critical position for the organization’s financial sustainability and future role in southern Nevada.Terrence completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and earned a Master’s in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Walden University in 2011. Terrence has already begun his next step in professional training by working on becoming a certified fundraising executive. As a Las Vegas native, Terrence shares the passion of the organization’s mission to help secure the economic future of Southern Nevada. In addition to his career with the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance, he is a member of the Las Vegas Young Professionals networking group and enjoys spending time with his family and close friends.
