Perry Ursem

Senior Vice President, Business Development

Perry Ursem serves as Senior Vice President, Business Development for the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA). As co-developer of Southern Nevada’s business retention and expansion program for the LVGEA, Perry Ursem directs this initiative with support from Nevada leadership in the public and private sectors. With over 3500 businesses interviewed since the program’s inception in 2014, Perry has assisted many of these companies with their unique retention and expansion goals. His efforts have resulted in state and local tax abatement approval, occupational solutions through education and workforce development, cost and time reductions on imports utilizing Southern Nevada’s Foreign Trade Zone, and countless introductions using LVGEA’s deep regional network.

Perry relocated to Las Vegas from Southern California in 1996, acquiring and operating a commercial subcontracting business with his father until 2003. He transitioned into economic development and served as one of the first staff members of the newly formed Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development from 2012 to 2014. Over the span of his local career, Perry has been involved with a number of organizations, including the National Association of Industrial and Office Professionals, the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, the Associated General Contractors, US Green Building Council, and the American Institute of Architects.

Perry earned his bachelor’s degree with a double major from California Lutheran University and was recently certified in Economic Development by Oklahoma University’s Economic Development Institute.  In 1999, Perry married the love of his life and together are raising a 15-year-old daughter with interests in the fine arts, music, and robotics.
