Vice President of Business Retention and Expansion
With more than 20 years of corporate business development experience in the public and private sectors, Perry moved to Las Vegas from Southern California in 1996 to operate a company with his father serving the commercial and residential development industries.
In 2003, Perry made a career transition into economic development with the Nevada Development Authority. Over the course of four years, Perry assisted 66 companies through recruitment and expansion efforts, resulting in more than 1,200 new direct jobs for the Southern Nevada region. In 2007, Perry was recruited back to the private sector and led business development efforts in commercial development. In 2012, Perry was selected as one of the first staff members of the newly formed Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED), managing business recruitment and expansion opportunities for regional and local economic development organizations statewide. Perry has rejoined regional economic development to lead business expansion and retention efforts for the Southern Nevada business community. Over the span of his local career, Perry has been involved with a number of organizations, including the National Association of Industrial and Office Professionals, the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, the Associated General Contractors, US Green Building Council, and the American Institute of Architects. Perry, with his wife Renee of more than fifteen years, is raising a daughter here in the Las Vegas Valley. Perry earned his Bachelor’s Degree with a double major in Communications and Theater Arts from California Lutheran University.
